In a society with a growing concern on the autonomy of the patients – specially elderly patients – and in which the confidence and physician-patient relationship is being doubted due to artificial intelligence and tele-medicine, restoring this confidence and relationship is a major issue for general practitioners.  Thus, standarized and conscious use of verbal consent before the medical care at a nurse home is a good strategy to respect patient autonomy, establish a confidance relationship and respect ethical principles in medical care.Assess the degree of well-being obtained and the gain of confidence in the general practitioner in nursing homes patients by implementing the regular use of verbal consent before the medical care.An uncontrolled before-after study is performed with nursing homes’ patients from our neighborhood. Interested, mentally not impaired and physically capable patients are selected, and a satisfaction and well-being questionnaire is performed after the verbal consented medical care at the nursing home.This study is already ongoing, and the results will be available by the time of Wonca 2026 conference.Assessment of patients’ well-being and patient autonomy enhancement is a poorly addressed topic in medical literature, although the vital importance of the issue.
