WONCA Europe's vision is to improve the quality of life of people through fostering high standards of care in general practice based on solidarity, equity, and person-focused care. Last decade, there is progress in infrastructure of general practice in many European countries but structural and organizational challenges remain, particularly due to increasing demands from healthcare and society and constraints in workforce. Therefore, it is important to formulate a vision for the future. As an example, XXX professional general practice societies launched a Vision XXX providing long-term goals and actions for sustainable primary care. This workshop explores GP views and perspectives on addressing the main challenges in general practice by providing an interactive platform to co-create practical roadmaps for local implementation considering the context of the healthcare system. This workshop combines our lessons learned with participants’ own experiences. The goal is collective learning and identifying key drivers for successful development and implementation of strategic visions in primary care.- Exchange and integrate lessons learned to strengthen collective insight into effective strategies for sustainable primary care. – Translate high-level vision elements into prioritized, phased actions suitable for diverse contexts. – Construct an implementation roadmap with measurable outcomes and success indicators.Teaching methods: – Interactive small-group work – Facilitated plenary discussion   Workshop schedule: 0–10 min: Introduction vision XXX and lessons learned in development and implementation. 10–35 min: Current state scan & roadmap building. 35–55 min: Plenary discussion. 55-60 min: Wrap-up.Participants will formulate core principles for effective development and implementation of a high-level vision and identify context-specific strategies. In addition, they will benefit from exchanging diverse international perspectives and experiences.Developing strategic visions and anticipating on implementation is essential for achieving sustainable primary care transformation. By engaging in structured, collaborative, and participatory roadmap development, participants will gain actionable strategies to translate (national) primary care visions into effective implementation activities. By combining collective learning and identifying success factors, this workshop contributes to strengthening primary care and to effective bridging the gap between vision and action.
