Multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) are considered the standard of care in oncology, yet their structure and function vary widely across countries. In Bulgaria, MDTs often operate informally, and the extent to which GPs are recognised as meaningful contributors remains unclear. Given GPs’ continuous, long-term relationships with patients and their role in addressing psychosocial determinants of health, understanding their perceived contribution within MDTs is essential for strengthening integrated cancer care.
