Deprescribing and non-prescribing are booming. European doctors have different deprescribing tools, which are rarely shared. In studies, doctors describe deprescribing as “swimming against the tide”: difficult and time-consuming. Yet healthcare professionals are already under emotional, physical, and organizational pressure that is affecting their health.Share internationally scientifically validated tools for deprescribing and non-prescribing. Identify, if they exist, the benefits of deprescribing on the quality of life and health of healthcare workers.TEACHING METHOD: The facilitators are experts in the topics of “deprescribing,” “non-prescribing,” and “combating caregiver burnout.” The teaching is participatory in a world café format with three groups of 13 participants and three volunteer ambassadors. Each ambassador will be accompanied by an expert facilitator. The first ambassador will ask the question: What tools do you use to deprescribe? The second will ask: What techniques do you use to non-prescribe? The third will ask: What personal benefits do you see from non-prescribing and deprescribing? The three groups will discuss each question. Each ambassador will report back on the answers, highlighting equity between countries, the sharing of tools, and the human fulfillment of caregivers. SCHEDULE: Grouping by color code, 10-minute introduction (context, explanation of the World Café, selection of volunteers). The first round of group discussions lasts 15 minutes. In the second round, the time is reduced to 8 minutes because the facilitator and ambassador have presented a summary of the first round of discussions. The third round lasts 5 minutes. Each ambassador gives a 6-minute presentation, and the facilitators conclude in 5 minutes.Acquire scientifically validated international deprescribing and non-prescribing tools and techniques, learn about the potential benefits of deprescribing and non-prescribing for the health and quality of life of healthcare professionals..Promote equity and sharing in Europe of the tools available to caregivers for deprescribing and non-prescribing. Preserve physicians and emphasize the benefits for them, in order to ensure an efficient, sustainable, and humane healthcare system for the future.
