ThursdayJuly 2nd9:15 - 10:15223 M

Nicolas SENN and Charlotte BRÉDA

Healthcare professionals play a key role in promoting individuals' reconnection with nature through preventive and therapeutic approaches that integrate contact with biodiversity and nature into care practices. The concept of green/nature prescription is a recommendation by GPs, encouraging outdoor activities in natural environments to enhance patients' health and well-being.Investigate motivations and practices of GPs and primary care professionals regarding nature prescriptions Share experiences through narratives of nature prescription in various contexts Compare practices: identify pathologies, patient demographics, formalizations, and activities involved Identify barriers and levers to better integrate nature prescription in routine care Identify and map benefits for both patients and healthcare providersThe workshop will follow a participatory collective intelligence methodology. Participants will be divided into five sub-groups. The session will be structured as follows: Introduction and context setting of nature prescription 10’ Writing an individual short story of an innovative nature prescription (1p.) 10’ Sharing narratives in sub-groups (structured questions) 15’ Group discussion 20’ Conclusion 5’Learning enhancements: acquisition of specific skills to integrate nature prescription into primary care practice New approaches: identification of original strategies and effective tools in the clinical context Evaluation of benefits: explore potential effects on patient well-being and GPs Collaborative protocols: development of adaptable protocols based on PC providers experiences Community of practice: creation of an international network of committed GPs and PC providers Data collection: production of a database on nature prescription practicesThe results aim to ensure a concrete application of the workshop's learnings and to promote a “nature-prescription best practices” network around nature prescription. This workshop model will serve as an experiment that can be refined for deployment in other contexts
