Marburg Heart Score and INTERCHEST score for telephone triage of acute chest pain: a prospective, diagnostic accuracy study in out-of-hours primary care

Amy MANTEN, Indra MELESSEN, Jelle HIMMELREICH, Eric MOLL VAN CHARANTE and Ralf HARSKAMP

Current telephone triage of chest pain in Dutch out-of-hours primary care (OOH-PC) is guided by protocols from the Netherlands Triage Standard (NTS), and has limited diagnostic accuracy. Clinical decision rules such as the Marburg Heart Score and INTERCHEST score may improve triage by providing better diagnostic discrimination than current NTS protocols.
