Inclusive medical education is essential for attracting, supporting, and retaining diverse trainees, thereby reinforcing sustainable and patient-centered healthcare systems. Evidence shows that patients feel better understood and adhere more effectively to treatment when physicians recognize social, cultural, and personal dimensions of care. Such awareness fosters trust, enhances self-management, and improves efficiency and quality across healthcare delivery. Nevertheless, trainees from underrepresented backgrounds in Dutch GP-specialty training continue to encounter inequitable learning opportunities, limiting individual development and the healthcare system’s ability to deliver equitable, future-ready care. In response, Amsterdam UMC GP-specialty training institute has developed and piloted research-informed interventions for inclusive medical education, now being scaled nationally with support from two Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinators. Embedding DEI-leadership within training programs empowers educators as drivers of structural change, linking inclusive learning environments to sustainable, high-quality care—a pioneering development within European medical education.This workshop invites GPs, GP-trainees, GP-educators and mentors, and GP-educational developers to explore evidence-informed approaches to strengthening inclusive education, share practical experiences in addressing leaky pipelines through which GP workforces lose essential diverse talent, and build networks that support ongoing (inter)national collaboration. Participants will recognize challenges and opportunities in inclusive medical education, gain insight into initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, acquire practical tools and visual frameworks connecting inclusive learning to future-ready care, and establish a collaborative network for continued innovation.The workshop offers interactive, collaborative learning strategies, including visual mapping, dialogue-based reflection, peer-to-peer exchange, and structured networking.  0–5 min: Introduction to theoretical frameworks, objectives, and relevance for healthcare 5–15 min: Identification of local and shared challenges through post-it clustering 15–35 min: Subgroup mind mapping linking inclusive education to sustainable healthcare, followed by plenary reflection 35–50 min: “Speed-date market” for idea sharing and (inter)national networking 50–60 min: Wrap-up with actionable next stepsParticipants will gain enhanced insight and practical tools for promoting inclusive GP-specialty training, along with international networks for continued exchange.By integrating research, exchange, and networking, this workshop advances inclusive GP-specialty training and thereby, contributes to a sustainable, diverse, and future-ready GP workforce.
