Precision Public Health (PPH) is reshaping global healthcare by using data to deliver targeted, timely, and population-specific interventions. Since Family physicians serve as the first point of contact for most health concerns; the integration of PPH into primary care is both essential and underdeveloped. Family Medicine is uniquely positioned to operationalize precision strategies, translating population data into individualized care, strengthening prevention, and improving community outcomes. Despite the availability of public health data, primary care teams often lack structured methods to apply it in real practice. This workshop, “Family Medicine in Precision Public Health: Building the Foundation of Better Care,” addresses this gap by offering a practical, case-based approach. Participants will learn how family physicians can use local data to design targeted interventions, improve continuity of care, and enhance population health.Understand PPH in family medicine. Recognize the physician’s role in data-driven care. Plan targeted prevention and management strategies. Enhance teamwork and community partnerships for better outcomes.This workshop uses a blended, interactive format combining (2- hour): Brief concept introduction to establish key principles of Precision Public Health and its link to Family Medicine. Case-based small-group discussions. Collaborative problem-solving where groups identify data sources, targeted interventions, and expected outcomes. Rapid group presentations to share insights and compare approaches. Facilitator-guided synthesis to highlight core themes and practical application. Reflective closing activity prompting participants to identify one actionable step for integrating precision approaches into their clinical or community setting.Participants will: Understand the synergy between family medicine & precision public health. Recognize how data-driven, tailored approaches can be implemented in primary care.
