A Unique Artistic Vision for WONCA Europe 2026

The son of a general practitioner, Quetzilla, a French painter and muralist, has generously granted us the rights to use his stunning artwork SELENE (acrylic on oak wooden floor, 41 x 31 cm, 2021), which serves as the official poster for WONCA Europe 2026.

Coming from a background in visual and urban arts, Quetzilla has developed a distinctive style where figurative art merges with abstract. Influenced notably by British painter Clive Head, he creates his compositions through the layering of photographs, blending transparencies and opacities to infuse his work with a sense of movement. His aim is to disrupt visual perception, offering multiple layers of interpretation and inviting viewers to see the world through a new lens.

Deeply rooted in his everyday life, travels, and personal experiences, his subjects also reflect his enduring connection to music. A long-time fan of hip-hop since his first cassette tapes, Quetzilla draws inspiration from urban culture. He has created several album covers for artists such as Mattic, Henry Canyons, and Homeboy Sandman, where his painting enhances the musical universe.

A heartfelt thank you to Quetzilla for this artistic collaboration, which brings a contemporary and vibrant dimension to our congress.
