The patient has experienced persistent, debilitating pain for the past 5 years. She has even undergone surgery for cervical disc herniations. Ultimately, the patient is not physically fit to continue working in her usual job as a cashier in a supermarket.In this case we can observe that there is a loss of quality of care for the patient, since for many years and in multiple consultations with different specialists, he has not been diagnosed with an obvious injury to the spinal nerve that innervates the right trapezius muscle.The lesson we learn is that we must conduct a thorough medical history and a good physical examination, which involves undressing the patient for observation. Multiple complementary tests were performed, with the associated costs, but a simple visual examination failed to reveal that the patient\u00b4s right shoulder was lower than the left, despite the abscence of scoliosis.Overcrowded waiting rooms are not a problem for doctors to solve. If doctors want to provide high quality care, they must dedicate the time each patient deserves, based on their condition or reason for consultation. Therefore, flexibility in patient care must be established. We cannot be subject to political decisions made eithout considering the quality of care.The quality of medical care in Spain is declining due to the inaction of the ruling political class, whic is neglecting its duties. This has led to an exodus of doctors to other jobs, private practice, or other countries due to deteriorating working conditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-20289","wsa_session","type-wsa_session","status-publish","hentry","description-off"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wsa_session\/20289","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wsa_session"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/wsa_session"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20289"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
