We present the case of a 15-year-old teenager \u00a0from Cuba, highlighting the aspects in which Primary Care is fundamental.Introduction:\u00a0 In Spain, the incidence of HIV in adolescence is low, representing 11.5% of cases. We present the case of a 15-year-old teenager \u00a0from Cuba, highlighting the various aspects in which Primary Care is fundamental. Case Clinic:\u00a014-year-old teenager , with a primary\u00a0\u00a0infection of syphilis,\u00a0\u00a0who\u00a0\u00a0moved from Cuba to Marbella . He came to the Family Doctor consult\u00a0\u00a0to continue medical follow-up. In Cuba, he presented an inguinal lesion suspected of syphilis that was confirmed with serology and treated with\u00a0\u00a0a single dose of benzatinic Penicillin G (2.4 million units im). After\u00a0\u00a0the window period of\u00a0\u00a0STIs , he\u00a0\u00a0did a new serology test: HSV-1, HSV-2, Syphilis and VIH. The tests showed a positive Ig M for\u00a0\u00a0HSV-2 , AC against HIV,\u00a0\u00a0and Ig G against syphilis. As\u00a0\u00a0a under-age , the results were\u00a0\u00a0communicated to his mother and later to him.\u00a0 He\u00a0\u00a0was referred to the Internal Medicine Infectious Group of the Costa del Sol Hospital, the\u00a0\u00a0reference University Hospital in the area, where he was treated with\u00a0Antiretroviral Therapy\u00a0\u00a0(HAART)This case is unusual, given that the incidence of HIV in Spain is low, and even more so, a case in adolescenceIn this clinical case, we can show\u00a0\u00a0why\u00a0\u00a0Primary Care is fundamental:\u00a0Care for the immigrant patient;\u00a0health education, specifically , STIs , including VIH prevention, sexual education, and mental health.\u00a0 Professionals as family doctors, nurses are\u00a0\u00a0responsible for carrying out these tasks.Health education activities include workshops (nutrition, stress management, first aid), talks (addiction prevention, sexual health, mental health, ), and others such as seminars, support groups, focusing on promotion, prevention, and healthy lifestyles for teenagers\u00a0\u00a0with the program Forma Joven.We must learn that STI prevention activities and social support must be thorough and constant to educate the population and prevent new infections as much as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-20281","wsa_session","type-wsa_session","status-publish","hentry","description-off"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wsa_session\/20281","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wsa_session"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/wsa_session"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20281"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
