Gamification, which involves incorporating game mechanics into educational environments, offers an effective alternative for transforming training sessions into more dynamic and productive learning experiences. Despite growing enthusiasm for this strategy, numerous instructors lack specific guidance for applying gamification techniques in their training sessions.- Choose fitting game features for different workshop settings – Create appealing reward systems and progress markers – Apply team-based challenge methods that strengthen knowledge acquisition – Measure how well gaming strategies work in their own teaching practiceThis session will follow a three-step process: (1) introducing core gaming concepts that work in learning settings, (2) active exploration of specific techniques like reward systems, progress tracking, and group challenges, and (3) practical work time where participants build gaming strategies for their own workshops. Participants will directly experience gaming elements through planned activities that show how to apply them effectively.Participants will leave with ready-to-implement gamification tools customized for their specific teaching contexts. Each attendee will develop a concrete action plan containing at least three gaming elements they can immediately integrate into upcoming workshops. Through hands-on practice during the session, participants will gain confidence in facilitating interactive activities and managing group dynamics within gamified learning environments.Gamification represents a practical, evidence-based approach to addressing common engagement challenges in medical education. By systematically applying game mechanics to workshop design, educators can create learning experiences that improve both participation and knowledge retention. This session bridges the gap between gamification theory and clinical teaching practice, providing family medicine educators with actionable strategies that enhance learner engagement without requiring extensive resources or technological infrastructure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-20226","wsa_session","type-wsa_session","status-publish","hentry","description-off"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wsa_session\/20226","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wsa_session"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/wsa_session"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20226"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
