Secondary care faces\u00a0similar\u00a0pressures,\u00a0resulting in a growing\u00a0number of rejected referrals. Multisystem, complex conditions are being\u00a0redirected\u00a0to GPs who may lack\u00a0specialist\u00a0training in the diagnosis and management of them. Examples\u00a0include\u00a0suspected hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndromes,\u00a0fibromyalgia\u00a0and postural\u00a0orthostatic\u00a0tachycardia syndrome.To\u00a0identify\u00a0common\u00a0conditions\u00a0and\u00a0issues are being\u00a0frequently\u00a0rejected by secondary care\u00a0across Europe.\u00a0 Explore\u00a0and share\u00a0how GPs are managing these challenges in practice.This workshop will begin with a short presentation\u00a0outlining the\u00a0context and\u00a0real-world\u00a0examples, followed by\u00a0interactive\u00a0roundtable discussions. Participants will discuss experiences and strategies from their respective countries.This workshop will produce\u00a0a summary of Pan-European challenges\u00a0and insights\u00a0on the rising remit of family doctors, which will\u00a0inform future\u00a0research\u00a0and is intended for publication.Rejected referrals are not isolated incidents and they\u00a0represent\u00a0a growing systemic challenge across Europe.\u00a0 GPs are innovating under pressure but the lack of structured training and resources for complex multisystem conditions\u00a0represents\u00a0a crucial\u00a0gap.\u00a0 Pan-European collaboration is essential to share strategies, develop guidance and advocate for the realistic boundaries of primary care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-20188","wsa_session","type-wsa_session","status-publish","hentry","description-off"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wsa_session\/20188","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/wsa_session"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/wsa_session"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/woncaeurope2026.org\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20188"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
