In Brazil, the Unified Health System (SUS) is organized through Health Care Networks (Redes de Atenção à Saúde, RAS). Undergraduate teaching often presents the RAS concept with limited contact with real referral pathways. This practice based reflection synthesizes technical visits carried out in 2024 and in the first semester of 2025 in a Collective Health module for fifth semester medical students. Each semester, 90 students were enrolled. Small groups visited one RAS service under faculty supervision and used a shared observation guide focused on first contact and reception, access, comprehensiveness, interprofessional work, and network articulation. Sites included Basic Health Units (Unidades Básicas de Saúde, UBS), which function as primary health care (PHC) clinics, Psychosocial Care Centers, a reference unit for older people’s health, a specialized rehabilitation center, general hospitals, and specialty outpatient clinics. The design converts single site visits into a network level understanding through standardized observation and collective synthesis across groups.Students linked user needs to service functions, identified barriers in access and coordination, and discussed feasible improvements for referrals and counter referrals. Future editions can add brief pre and post questionnaires, expand to other thematic networks, and incorporate extension activities based on needs observed in services.Immersion in the RAS supported competencies relevant to integrated care, including communication, interprofessional collaboration, feasible referral planning, and critical reflection on equity and continuity of care.Short technical visits, combined with structured guidance and collective synthesis, can strengthen undergraduate medical education oriented to coordinated care within the SUS.

["post-20149","wsa_session","type-wsa_session","status-publish","hentry","description-off
["GET
