Competing clinical demands, administrative burdens and limited research infrastructure can reduce their capacity to identify and recruit eligible patients. Countries across Europe have implemented pragmatic, low-cost strategies that strengthen recruitment of frontline GPs. This interactive workshop presents concrete, evidence-based examples from four European countries to illustrate what has worked, what has not, and how different systems support (or fail to support) the participation of busy GPs. Using these examples to encourage reflection on similarities and differences in their own settings, we will discuss how a simple intervention may be further evaluated using a Study Within A Trial (SWAT) approach.By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: \u00a0 1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Describe evidence-based strategies that have improved GP recruitment in European primary-care studies.\u00a0 \u00a0 2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Interpret how and why these strategies were effective. \u00a0 3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Evaluate which types of support (e.g., research staff, communication methods, digital tools) could be most appropriate for their own practice. \u00a0 4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Draft a short, feasible recruitment plan for a future study in their own setting, including one component suitable for SWAT evaluation.\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Case-based introduction, with practical insights from EGPRN and four different national research networks: XXXX, XXXX, XXXX MUST national research network, the XXXX PACT (Primary care Academic CollaboraTive), including personalised outreach, peer-to-peer communication, WhatsApp micro-communities and rapid mobilisation of clinical insight. (20 minutes) \u2022\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Interactive polling to gather participants\u2019 experiences, perceived barriers and solutions (10 minutes) \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Small-group \u201cRecruitment Design Lab\u201d, mixed-country groups co-create a concise, feasible recruitment plan and identify one testable SWAT element.
