Too often it\u2019s treated as a personal weakness or an individual responsibility, when in reality it reflects wider pressures in the system: rising demand, constant change, emotional labour and the strain of carrying multiple roles. This workshop offers a different perspective. It reframes wellbeing as a leadership competency, not a personal luxury, and invites leaders to look honestly at how team culture, workload, autonomy \/ fairness influence burnout across a whole practice including themselves.This workshop aims to help leaders understand burnout as a shared system issue rather than an individual deficit.\u00a0Use Liberty, Equality and Fraternity to explore how autonomy, fairness and team cohesion protect or erode wellbeing.\u00a0Build leaders\u2019 confidence to recognise early signs of burnout, hold supportive conversations and shape healthier work environmentsThe session integrates short reflective tasks, paired dialogue, diagnostic tools and applied leadership exercises. Participants work with real-world scenarios, share experiences and generate practical strategies that can be implemented within their teams.0\u201310 min Welcome :Introductions and a shared definition of burnout. Leaders briefly reflect on how the principles of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity appear in their daily workload and leadership practice.10\u201325 min Mapping Hidden Drivers:Small groups map contributors to burnout\u2014initiative overload, workload, administrative burden, emotional labour and reduced autonomy\/ identify which pressures are most significant in their own settings.25\u201340 min Recognising and Responding:Case-based activities to identify early signs of burnout and practise communication techniques for enabling psychologically safe wellbeing conversations.40\u201355 min Action Planning:Development of personal, team\/system-level strategies such as digital boundaries, fair workload allocation, improved meeting practices and resilience routines.55\u201360 min Reflection and Commitment:Participants identify one leadership behaviour to implement over the next month.Participants will leave with greater insight into the systemic nature of burnout, improved skills in recognising and addressing it early, and concrete tools to create a fairer, safer and more cohesive team culture.This workshop encourages leaders to treat wellbeing as a core part of leadership.
