Is Evidence-Based Medicine Dead? An outdated model or still relevant?

Wednesday, July 1st– 4:30 – 5:00
“Amphi Bleu”

Evidence-Based Medicine has long-shaped medical education and clinical practice. But does it still hold up against today’s challenges? Critics argue it is too rigid, built on clinical trials that struggle to capture the full complexity of care: patient values, context, uncertainty, lived clinical experience. Advocates, on the other hand, remind us that EBM is not set in stone, it reinvents itself, keeps evolving, and remains an essential foundation for rigorous, informed practice.
